It is with much excitement that we share with you the launch of FemWorks, a new practice area for Brown & Cohen Communications & Public Affairs Inc.
The concept was the brain child of our vice president, Wendy Kauffman, whose vision was to create a practice area dedicated to serving women and girls that is of particular importance in today’s society. It took no time for management and fellow colleagues to jump in with their leadership, ideas and support.
This topic is:
- Relevant and urgent
- Authentic to our firm’s 25-year history
- A meaningful and timely cause
- Based on passion-driven work which fuels creativity and excellence
And, nothing else like this exists!
We would like the thank the FemWorks Collective, our advisory group who have agreed to be accessible to Brown & Cohen to test our clients’ campaign language, imagery and more. This group is comprised of entrepreneurs, industry professionals, not-for-profit advocates and mothers who work outside and inside the home. Collective members represent four generations and diverse ethnic backgrounds and gender identities. The Collective provides confidential quick feedback on whether messages and ideas resonate and come across as authentic and engaging. They also offer early confidence, or important warnings, to organizations that must be efficient with their funds and time.
Lastly, thank you to Rachel Parker. Rachel is a media studies student at the University of Guelph Humber who designed the FemWorks logo representing the strength of women in business, science, government, education and not-for-profit sectors.
