The Canadian Chemical Producers’ Association is the national trade association of Canadian chemical manufacturers, representing 70 companies who operate approximately 200 chemical and resin manufacturing sites across Canada. Together, these companies generate revenues of more than $24 billion annually.
The Association wanted to increase the Ontario government’s understanding of key issues facing its industry and help ensure the Province remains a competitive place for the manufacturing sector.

Set up one-on-one meetings with Ministry staff and over 30 MPPs to educate them on ways to create a more competitive and environmentally friendly industry
Encouraged the provincial government to address issues surrounding proposed toxic chemicals legislation
Helped develop the third annual "Queen’s Park Day", bringing together industry representatives from across Ontario and their respective MPPs to share ideas for the future of the industry
Over 27 meetings were set up over a six month period. Queen’s Park Day was attended by MPPS and industry representatives
Dialogue between the Association and the Government continue on the proposed Toxic Chemical Act, community buffer zone concerns and Certificate of Approval issues
